Lord God Almighty, You chose Saint Gabriel the Archangel to announce the greatest mystery of Your love: the Incarnation of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Through Archangel Gabriel's faithful obedience, he proclaimed Your saving plan to the Blessed Virgin Mary and became the joyful messenger of hope to the whole world.
As we gather in this chapel dedicated to his honour, open our hearts to hear Your Voice. Give us the grace to welcome Your Holy Will with faith, humility and courage, just as Mary did at the Annunciation.
May Saint Gabriel guide us to become joyful witnesses of the Gospel and faithful servants of Your Kingdom.

Reflection
Saint Gabriel is the heavenly messenger entrusted with announcing God's plan of salvation. He appeared to the Blessed Virgin Mary with the joyful news that God wished her to become the Mother of the Saviour, if she accepted this request. Through Archangel Gabriel's words, the world received the promise of Emmanuel - God with us.
Archangel Gabriel's message called forth Mother Mary's faithful response: complete trust, humble obedience and joyful surrender to God's Will.
The example of Saint Gabriel reminds us that God continues to speak to every heart. Archangel Gabriel invites us to listen to God through prayer, Sacred Scripture, teachings of the Church and the quiet inspirations of the Holy Spirit. Like Mother Mary, we are called to answer God's invitation with generous faith.
Every Christian is also called to become a messenger of hope, bringing the light of Christ to a world that longs for peace, truth and love.
