PRAYER CHAPEL OF OUR GUARDIAN ANGEL
ANGEL OF GOD, HEAVENLY GUARDIAN, MESSENGER OF GOD'S PROVIDENCE
Theme: God's Loving Providence, protection, guidance, fidelity, discernment, purity of heart, perseverance in faith, and the companionship of our Guardian Angel on the journey toward Heaven.
Entrance Prayer
“In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Heavenly Father, in Your infinite Love and Providence, You have entrusted each of us to the care of a Guardian Angel. You have given these blessed spirits to accompany us, and protect us from danger. Our Guardian Angels guide us toward what is good, and lead us ever closer to Your Son, Jesus Christ.
As we gather in this chapel dedicated to our Guardian Angels, grant us the grace to become more attentive to Your Presence and to the holy guidance You provide through Your heavenly messengers.
Help us to listen to the promptings that lead us toward goodness, holiness, purity and truth. Protect us from evil, and strengthen us in temptation. Comfort us in times of fear and sorrow, and guide our steps along the path You have prepared for us.
May our Guardian Angel faithfully accompany us throughout our earthly pilgrimage and, at the end of our lives, lead us safely into the joy of Your heavenly Kingdom.

Reflection
From the beginning of our lives, God in His Loving Providence gives each of us a Guardian Angel. These heavenly spirits are servants of God who accompany us upon our earthly journey and assist us in our journey toward Heaven.
Our Guardian Angel does not take the place of God, nor does the Angel replace our freedom or responsibility. Rather, the Angel serves God's Will by protecting, guiding and encouraging us to turn our hearts toward the Lord.
The Guardian Angel reminds us that we are never forgotten by God.
There may be moments when we feel alone, uncertain or afraid. Yet faith teaches us that God's Providence surrounds us. His Love reaches us through countless visible and invisible gifts, including the ministry of the holy Angels.
Our Guardian Angel calls us toward what is true and good. Our Angel encourages us to resist temptation, and protects us from dangers according to God's Providence. Our Angel continually points us toward Christ.
The presence of our Guardian Angel also reminds us of the dignity of our souls. We are created for God and called to holiness. Our earthly life is a pilgrimage toward eternal life, and our Guardian Angel accompanies us upon that journey.
May we therefore cultivate a spirit of prayer and attentiveness, asking God for the grace to recognise the ways in which He guides us.
Our Guardian Angel is not the destination of our devotion, but a faithful servant who helps lead us toward the One whom the Angels themselves adore: Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
When we pray for another, we can also pray to their Guardian Angel for them. We can also ask our Guardian Angel to communicate with their Guardian Angel, for the good of the other.

“Holy Guardian Angel, whom God in His infinite goodness has entrusted my care, protect me from every danger of body and soul.
Guard me from evil, temptation, fear and discouragement.
Help me to recognise the occasions that may lead me away from God, and give me the wisdom to turn away from what is sinful.
When I am afraid, strengthen me.
When I am confused, guide me.
When I am tempted, protect me.
When I am discouraged, encourage me.
When I am weak, help me to turn again toward Christ.
May your faithful guardianship always lead me closer to Jesus and deeper into the love of God.

Prayer for Guidance and Discernment
“My Holy Guardian Angel, faithful companion given to me by God, help me to discern the path that leads to holiness.
Quiet the confusion within my heart so that I may recognise what is true and good.
Help me not to follow selfish desires or the passing attractions of the world, but to seek God's Holy Will.
Guide my thoughts, words and actions.
Teach me to pause before making decisions and to bring everything before God in prayer.
May I have the wisdom to recognise good counsel, the courage to reject evil, and the humility to accept God's Direction.
Lead me ever closer to Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Prayer for Families and Communities
“Holy Guardian Angels, watch over our families, our communities and all those entrusted to our care.
Protect our homes from division, hatred and evil.
Help husbands and wives to remain faithful to one another, and parents to guide their children with wisdom and love. Help children to honour their parents; and families to become places of prayer, forgiveness and peace.
Watch over those who are vulnerable, lonely, elderly, sick or afraid.
Guard our communities and nations and inspire us to live together in charity, justice and peace.
May the Angels of God accompany all who seek to serve and protect others.

Prayer for Children and Young People
“Holy Guardian Angels, watch over all children and youth.
Protect them from harm, temptation and influences that may lead them away from God.
Guide their friendships, their choices and their dreams.
Help them to discover their God-given dignity and vocation.
May they grow in wisdom, purity, courage and faith, always knowing that they are deeply loved by God.
Lead them toward Jesus, who said that the Angels of His little ones continually behold the face of the Father in Heaven.

Prayer for the Sick and Suffering
“Holy Guardian Angels, remain close to those who are sick, suffering or afraid.
Bring comfort to those who feel alone.
Strengthen those who are enduring pain.
Console those who mourn.
Encourage those who have lost hope.
Watch over those who are approaching the end of earthly life, that they may place themselves confidently into the Hands of God.
May your presence remind them that God's Love never abandons His children.

Prayer at the Hour of Death
“Holy Guardian Angel, faithful companion throughout my earthly pilgrimage, remain beside me when my earthly journey comes to its end.
Pray for me in the hour of my death.
Help me to place my complete trust in the mercy of Jesus Christ.
Defend me from fear and despair.
Lead my soul toward the Presence of God, and accompany me into the eternal Kingdom - where with you, and all the Angels and Saints, I may behold the Face of God forever.

Closing Prayer
"O God, in Your Loving Providence You have appointed Your holy Angels to watch over Your children.
We thank You for the gift of our Guardian Angels and for their faithful service to Your Divine Will.
Grant that, protected by their care and guided by their heavenly assistance, we may grow in faith, hope and charity.
May our Guardian Angels defend us from evil, and guide us in our decisions. May our Angels strengthen us in temptation, comfort us in suffering and encourage us in the pursuit of holiness.
Teach us to listen more attentively to Your Voice and to follow the path that leads to Jesus Christ.
May we never forget that our earthly life is a pilgrimage toward Heaven, and that You never abandon those who place their trust in You.
When our journey is complete, may our Guardian Angel lead us safely into Your eternal Presence, where with all the Angels and Saints we may praise You forever.

NOVENA TO OUR GUARDIAN ANGEL
The Novena to Our Guardian Angel is a time of prayer and reflection in which we entrust ourselves, our families, our homes and our intentions to the Loving Providence of God.
We ask for the assistance of our Guardian Angel to help us grow in faith, and to discern God's Will. We ask our Angel to help us resist temptation, remain faithful in trials, and draw ever closer to Jesus Christ.
We remember that the Guardian Angel is God's servant and messenger, and that every prayer ultimately rises to God the Father, through Jesus Christ, in the Holy Spirit.
Novena Prayer
“In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Heavenly Father, in Your infinite Love and Wisdom, You have entrusted me to the care of a holy Guardian Angel.
I thank You for this precious gift of Your Divine Providence.
Holy Guardian Angel, faithful servant of God, I place myself under your heavenly protection, and ask you to accompany me throughout this day and throughout my earthly pilgrimage.
Help me to become more attentive to God's Presence.
Guard me from evil and from everything that could separate me from Jesus Christ.
Protect my mind from thoughts that lead me away from God.
Protect my heart from hatred, bitterness, fear and despair.
Protect my body from unnecessary danger.
Guard my eyes, my ears, my tongue, my hands and my feet, that everything I do may honour God.
When I am tempted, strengthen me.
When I am confused, guide me.
