Reflection
Saint Rita's life was marked by many hardships. She endured an unhappy marriage with remarkable patience, responded to violence with forgiveness, and raised her children with faith and love. After the death of her husband and sons, she entered the convent, where she dedicated the remainder of her life to prayer, humility and service.
Her love for Christ was so profound that she received a wound on her forehead from one of the thorns of His Crown, sharing in His suffering with quiet humility.
Saint Rita teaches us that holiness is not found in an easy life, but in trusting God through every difficulty. She reminds us that forgiveness heals wounded hearts, prayer transforms suffering into grace, and God's Love can accomplish what seems impossible.
